Ada June Ritter

Ada June Ritter, age 89, passed away on April 19, 2020 at Brantwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Ezra Masters and Eva Spivey Masters. June was born in Asheville, NC on November 19, 1930. She was married to James Anthony Ritter for 45 years.

June, “Nannie”, worked in textiles and was dedicated to her family. She loved her home and always had open doors. She had a humble, warm-hearted, yet strong spirit. Nannie genuinely enjoyed the company of her family and served as caretaker for Jacob Elliott for 9 years before his attendance to university.

Nannie is survived by her daughter, Diane Sturgill as well as Jacob Elliott. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She will be forever loved and missed dearly by all she knew.
June was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James A. Ritter.
