Anna Mccann Mahoney

Anna McCann Mahoney, loving wife of John Raymond "Jack" Mahoney deceased; and mother of Joanne Rock, Kathy Benn, Maureen Gregory, Anne Bunai, Pat Wright, John Mahoney, Teresa Mahoney, Sharon Kirkman, Michael Mahoney, and Joyce Felder, passed away ineer home on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Anna gave of herself to raise and support her family. She enjoyed golf and bridge, and ineer later years was a voracious reader and crossword puzzler. In addition to her children, Nana Anna is survived by thirty-two grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Frank McCann, and her sister, Jane Whitaker. A Funeral Mass will conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 940 Carmichael Street, Chapel Hill, NC, with Father John Durbin, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery oneegion Road.
