Bessie D. Parker

DURHAM- Bessie D. Parker, 88, of Durham died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion. Born July 19, 1925 in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Zeb Daughtry and Ineennis Daughtry. Bessie was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Parker, five siblings, a daughter, Marie Turner, and a son-in-law, Kenneth McRae. Bessie is survived by her daughters, Joyce Turner and husband, Rev. Roby Turner, Jr. of Durham; Bobbie McRae of Creedmoor; Sharon Smith and husband, Larry of Durham; her son, David Parker and wife, Dolly of Hillsborough; her sisters, Etta Mae Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; Jean Johnson of Pine Level and Beatrice Pulley of Clayton. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and a great great grandson. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Tabernacle of Life Church with Rev. Roby Turner, Jr. and Rev. John Thornton officiating.
