Clyde B. Stevens

Clyde B. Stevens, age 79, of 877 Green Hill Rd., Franklinton, NC died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Louisburg Nursing Center. Born in Johnston County NC to the late Bernee Gordon Stevens and Mamie Ross Stevens, he was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Franklinton. Mr. Stevens is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sarah Pearce Stevens of Franklinton, NC; three sons: Clyde Stevens, Jr. and wife, Sheila, of Raleigh, NC; Bobby Stevens and wife, Alice, of Wendell, NC; Timmy Stevens and wife, Jean, of Garner, NC; his sister, Lois Barbour of Butner, NC; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded ineeath by his brother, Gordon Stevens. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 26, at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mount Olivet Church Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the family home on Green Hill Rd.
