David Edward Roth, Jr.

DURHAM David Edward Roth Jr., age 74, died at Durham Regional Hospital of complications of Covid on January 7, 2022. He was born on July 12, 1947, to the late David Edward Roth Sr. and Gloria Peters Roth of Manheim, Pennsylvania.

He graduated from Millersville University in 1975 and worked at the Durham Police Department as a data analyst. He was a parishioner of Saint Matthew Catholic Church and enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, target shooting, and visiting his “happy place”, Wrightsville Beach. He previously served as guardian ad litem and recently served as a volunteer at Duke’s Cancer Center.

Dave is survived by his wife, Suzanne, cousins Lynn Peters, Pete Peters, and Bobbie Jean Kissinger, as well as nieces Katie Harper, Christina Brubaker; and nephew Timothy Visher and their families.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 12:00PM Thursday, January 13, 2022, from St. Matthew Catholic Church. Fr. Robby Staley will preside. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Matthew Catholic Church; 1001 Mason Road, Durham NC 27712.
