Edward "Ed" Frazier

December 25, 1935 — February 10, 2019

Oxford, NC Edward "Ed Taylor Frazier, 83, died on February 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to the late Conley Thomas Frazier and Essie Blackwell Frazier on December 25, 1935 in Granville County. Ed graduated from Berea School. Served our country through the Army and married his late wife, Carol Taylor Frazier. He loved his church and church family. Ed is survived by a very special friend, Snodean Jacobs of Durham; many nieces and nephews; Bob Frazier, Bruce Frazier (Angela), Barry Dale Rice, Edward Ashley Rice, Gary Wheeler (Polly), Steve Wheeler, Mike Wheeler (Toni Ann), Tamara Wheeler, Sylvia Lee Phillips, Priscilla T. Cox (Thomas), Joy Benson (Bennie), Darlene Campbell (Albert), Robbie Barker (Rob); Tommy Frazier, Clay Frazier and Jean Marie Frazier; many numerous family and friends; his church family and close friend and brother-in-law, Nathan Rice (Ann). Ed was predeceased by his parents; his wife; his brother, Harold Frazier; and sisters; Mary Lou Rice, Lucille Frazier, Willie Grey Wheeler and Virginia Tingen. Visitation for Ed will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Gentry Newell - Vaughan. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11: 00 am at Hester Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Jeff Hensley. Burial to follow service at Hester Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Hester Baptist Church, P.O. Box 964, Oxford, NC, 27565. The Frazier family is proudly being served by Gentry-Newell - Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College St., Oxford, NC, 27565.
