Edward Francis Collery

FRANKLINTOneedward Francis Collery, 84, of Franklinton, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Wake Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the son of the late John and Madeline Collery of Bergan County, New Jersey. He was a devoted father, a kind-hearted friend, and a helpful influence in his community. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Bragg Collery, son Stephen Edwin Wade, and brothers, James, Joseph, John, and Michael. He is survived by his daughters Dottie Averette David of Franklinton, and Cindy Dean Spencer of Louisburg; a son Joseph Collery of Franklinton, daughter-in-law Wanda Wade of Franklinton, and sister Madeline Fried, of Palm Harbor, FL; along with six grandchildren, Beth, Robin, Whitney, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Amanda, two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Silas, and couneess friends. A service of worship celebratineedward's life will be held Saturday, February 15, at 3:00 p.m. at the Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 West Mason Street. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:45 in the sanctuary of the church. Immediately following the service, there will be an interment with military honors at Fairview Cemetery.
