Elizabeth Bell Leathers

Elizabeth Bell Leathers, 58, died on Monday, September 26, 2011. Elizabeth was born in Winston-Salem, NC to Wilma and Fred G. Bell on October 21, 1952. Known for her infectious personality and sociable nature, she also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and arts and crafts. Elizabeth was an active member of Trinity Uneed Methodist Church and was a part of the Middlers Club. Elizabeth is survived by her husband William B. Leathers of Durham, NC; daughter Sarah Leathers of Durham, NC; sisters Annette Jones Vernon of Raleigh, NC, Penny Hall of Atlanta, GA, and Kathi Gelles Mark of New York, NY; brother Roneell Wanda of Durham, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special K-9 friend, Wesley. Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2011 from Trinity Uneed Methodist Church, 215 N. Church St., Durham, NC 27701 with Pastor Taylor Mills and Rev. Duke Lackey officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
