Frankie Ray Eason

January 31, 1941 — December 6, 2021

Durham – Ray Eason, age 80, died unexpectedly on December  6, 2021. He was born on January 31, 1941 to the late Veda and Frank J. Eason.


Ray Graduated Durham High School and attended Croft Business College. Ray worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30  years retiring as maintenance supervisor in 1996. Served 6 years with the national guard.


Ray was very active with St. Paul United Methodist Church serving as trustee chairman for many years.  Ray was active with the Friendly City Civitan club where he served as president for years. He also enjoyed Dart Ball, bowling league, and working the concessions stand at Duke University sporting events.  


Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Eason, three children Frank Eason, David Eason and Christie Windsor. Seven grandchildren: Katelyn, Richard, Julia, Ryan, Sean, Hannah, and Alayna.    


Graveside service to be held 2:00PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at Maplewood Cemetery. Reverend Mark Stephens and Reverend Casey Mursten officiating. 


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Paul United Methodist church
