George James Pirie

Mr. George James Pirie, 81, of Pittsboro, died Saturday March 28, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Pirie was born neember 13, 1927 to George Bruce and Agnes Booth Pirie in Aberdeen, Scotland. George served many years as a minister for the Brethern Assembly. Mr. Pirie is survived by his wife, Nancy Dickson Pirie of the home; a son, Ian Pirie of Swarthmore, PA; a daughter, Ruth Corbin of Gilbertsville, PA; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Mr. Pirie will be held on Saturday April 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pittsboro Christian Village. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City, NC.
