Gloria Jean Olson

Gloria Jean Olson, age 72 died peacefully Friday, December 29th at Rex Heart and Vascular Hospital in Raleigh, NC surrounded by her family. She was born in Johnston County, NC and graduated from Clayton High School in 1963. She worked as a CNA at Dorthea Dix Hospital until 1968 when she stayed home to raise her family. She lived in Cary, NC for over 25 years, moving to Oxford, NC in 1995. She loved her family, friends, gardening and her pets. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Olson, daughters Kristi Sullivan of Cary, Kathy Herman of Charlotte and their husbands Paul Sullivan and Chris Herman. Her grandchildren, Miranda and Morgan Sullivan of Cary and Breanna and Brendeneerman of Charlotte. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel, 503 College St., Oxford with a prior visitation from 1:00 pm ??? 2:00 pm.
