Preceding the funeral service, a visitation at 11:00, where the family will receive visitors and guests. With a burial following the funeral at Meadowview Cemetery in Oxford, NC.

Jean was a woman who always had a smile and was always there for the ones that she loved with encouragement, a listening ear and was always a lot of fun to be around. She loved history and geneaology. She held many accomplishments, but to name a few... In 1964, she was the top 10 Tupperware Sales in the region; she was the first female rural mail carrier in the state; she was on the Board of the Group Home; and volunteered at the Granville County Museum and past member of the Historical Society. Jean held many positions in the Church from secretary and A.P. associate at Tungston Mine Baptist then President of W.M.U, church clerk, Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, pianist at Bullock Baptist Church.   She loved her faith, her family, being a wife, a mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Audrey Tilley Estes of Raleigh, and Lori Tilley Frazier (Dud) of Oxford; her son, Bret Tilley (Lynette) of Henderson; and her grandchildren, Jessie Leigh Tilley- Compton (Travis) and Lori Tilley Light (Eric); her precious great granddaughter, Lily; step grandchildren, Dustin Frazier (Lauren) and Kelley Frazier; and her brothers, James Howard Currin Jr. (Peggy) of Grassy Creek, and Cecil Bruce Currin (Louise) of Hadley, Massachusetts. She will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends too numerous to name.

Jean was predeceased by her soulmate, “prince”, and husband, Bill Moore.

Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to the Granville Museum in Oxford in memory and in honor of Jean.
