June Johnson

Durham – June Russell Johnson, age 95, died at home on November 14, 2021. She was born on March 6, 1926 in Birmingham, England to the late John Hubert Russell and Nellie Sykes Russell.

 June earned a Masters of Library Science and worked for The Durham County Library for 24 years. She played Bridge, was a prolific reader  a lover of pottery art and volunteered with The Eno Association and local senior center.

June Johnson is survived by Tom and Wife Kathy Johnson of South Carolina and their two children Jessica and Emily Johnson. Suzanne Johnson and her son Frank Molinaro of Durham, Kim Johnson of Durham and Michael wife Krista their 4 children Patrick, Jacob Thomas and Jack Johnson and her Niece and Nephews Amanda, Andrew and Tim Russell of England. June was preceded in death by her brother John Russell.
