Laura Jean Adams West

OXFORD- LAURA JEAN ADAMS WEST, age 75 a resident of Oxford died Thursday April 9, 2009 in Duke Medical Center with loving family by her side. She was a native of Vance Co. and was the daughter of the late Wesley Thaddeus Adams, Sr. and Alton Roosevelt Rooker Adams of Henderson. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Morris W. West, Sr. Jean was a member of the Oxford Uneed Methodist Church and a member of the Carrie Fuller Circle. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 11, 2009 at 11:30 AM in the Oxford Uneed Methodist Church by Rev. Pat Hawkins. Burial will be ineeadowview Memorial Park. Surviving are three daughters, Lynette Gold of Raleigh; Laura Elliotthusbaneeuell of Oxford and Cynthia Abbotthusband Keith of Oxford; a son , Morris W. West, Jr. of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jonathan Abbott, Joshua Abbott, Erin Elliott, Jeanneelliott, Caitlyneest and Audrey West; a great grandson, Jonathan Scott Abbott; a sister, Blanee Forsythe of Oxford; two brothers, Thomas Adams of Burlington and Wesley Adams of Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the services, from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM in the Oxford Uneed Methodist Church.
