Linda Buchanan

Linda H. Buchanan, 59, died at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC in the early morning hours of December 18, 2018 after an extensive illness. She was born in Fayetteville, NC on January 29,1959 to the late Judith W Harris and William J Harris. She graduated from Northern High School and worked for LC Industries for over 27 years. Linda loved sewing, gardening, vacationing at the Outer banks and in the mountains of North Carolina, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is survived by (her children James C Buchanan aneelizabeth A Buchanan of Durham, N.C. her brothers and sisters: Charles A Harris (Linda Norman) of Durham, NC, Steven M Harris of Durham, NC, Rebecca A Harris (Denee Linehan) of Mebane, NC, Virginia L Harris of Mebane, NC, and Warren A Harris (Karen)of Summerfield, NC; and neerous other family members. Linda was preceded ineeath by her former husband Harry T. Buchanan III. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham, with the Reverend Gail Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham. All are invited to a reception following the burial at the home of Steven Harris.
