Lois Wheeler Edwards

Lois Wheeler Edwards, 79, of Franklinton, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Rex Hospital. A native of Franklin County she was the daughter of the late Willie Clifton Wheeler and Daisy Cash Wheeler. She was a 1952 Graduate of Franklinton High School, a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and retired from Westinghouse ABB. Lois is survived by her husband, Leo Edwards, sons, Kevin Tyke Edwards and wife, Donna of Durham; Toby McCray Edwards and wife, Kim of Youngsville; daughters, Donna Grey Edwards Webb and husband, Joel of Youngsville; Robyn B. Edwards of Franklinton; sister, Mae Cooper of Pinehurst. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two K-9 companions, Penny and Bart. A memorial service to celebrate Mrs. Edward's life will be held 11:00 A.M Saturday, June 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
