Louis H. Wiethe, Jr.

DURHAM-Louis H. Wiethe, Jr., 82, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 17th at Durham Regional Hospital. He was born in Covington, Kentucky, on March 8, 1929, the son of Louis H. and Juliaetta Bacon Wiethe. Louis had a lifelong love of motion pictures from the experience of growing up around his father's many movie theaters in the Cincinnati area. He graduated from Asheville School, NC and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For many years he was employed at the Perkin's Library at Duke Uneersity. He lived at Durham Ridge Assisted Living in Durham. Louis is survived by sons, Louis H. Wiethe, III and Robert W. Wiethe Mary Jane; brother, Dr. Dale Wiethe of Sun City Center, FL; sister, Judith Alexander of St. Petersburg, FL; and a large extended family, all of whom he loved greatly. A memorial service will take place in Florida in March. Memorial donations canee made to the Americaneed Cross, as he was a faithful blood donor for many years.
