Lucas "Luke" Lyoneee

Lucas "Luke" Lyoneee, Jr, 87, died oneednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Hock Family Pavilion. Lucas was born in Durham to the late Lucas Lyoneee, Sr. aneestell Pendergraph. Luke was a graduate of Braggtown High School and a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of both the Masonic Lodge 687 and the Sudaneemple for 60 years. In 1975 he was elected as the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of North Carolina. Lucas was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday school class. He took much pride in growing Lilies. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris "Dottie" Lee of Durham; sons, Larry Lyoneee and wife, Bonee, of Durham; Michael Calvineee and wife, Lynn, of Durham; grandchildren, Whitney Lee, Stephanie Lee, Timothy Lee, Justineee and Trent Lee. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, with Pastor Marc Francis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawneemorial Gardens. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caring staff of Duke Hospice and the Hock Family Pavilion. Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children Hospital at P.O. Box 1523 Ranson, WV 25438, and/or Duke Hospice at 4321 Medical Park Dr. #101, Durham, NC 27704.
