Mary Helen Talbott

Mary Helen Daniel Talbott, age 76, died on February 10, 2021. She was born to the late Graham Howerton Daniel and Helen Averette Daniel on December 20, 1944 in Granville County.

Mary Helen was born and raised in the community of Berea and attended Fuller’s Business School, where she graduated and then went to work as an Administrative Assistant at Central Regional, John Umstead – Adolescent Unit. Her family received her utmost care and love and she strived to give her all at home and work. She was strong in her faith and relied heavily on God to give her strength.

Mary Helen is survived by her children; Robert Macon Critcher, Jr., Stacy Critcher Splees (John) and Jeffrey T. Critcher (Amber); her sisters, Clara Priscilla Daniel Gardner and Martha Pearl Daniel Morris. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Russell Stoneham, II, Robert Taylor Stoneham (Denise), William Stanley Splees, Benjamin Albert Splees (Kristen), Haley Critcher, Andrea Critcher, Landon Critcher and her great grandson, Jack Stoneham. She leaves behind many family members too numerous to name and whom will miss her vibrant smile.

A private family service for Mary Helen will be on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church officiated by Rev. Vincent Kopp and Rev. Jamie Pahl. A public graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 and officiated by Rev. Tim Atkinson. Please practice social distancing and masks as appropriate. You may visit with the family at the conclusion of the service in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Zion.
The service will be recorded and placed on the Obituary for anyone to view by the end of the service day; you may view by going to the Tribute Wall page on the Obituary and clicking on the video.
