Mary Jean Maley Greeneeanee, 77, died peacefully Tuesday at the home of Chip and Desiree Denton surrounded by her family after a period of declining health. She was born ineemphis, TN where she lived until 1970. While ineemphis, she was an executive secretary with Humko Products. She later moved to Atlanta, where she sold residential real estate for 37 years mostly with Buckhead Brokers/ Coldwell Banker. Mary Jean was a member and supporter of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She moved to Durham in 2008 when she could no longer live independently. Mary Jean was happiest when with people her family, clients, or work associates. She loved selling houses, shopping, cooking, aneentertaining. She had a special love for animals, and her dogs were very dear to her. Nothing pleased her more than to have her five children, ten grandchildren, and their friends at her house. Mary Jean is survived by her daughter Desiree Park Denton and husband, Peter Chip, and their childreneeter Teddy, Jeanne Jenny, and Charles Chad Denton of Durham; daughter Daiquiri Park Gleaves of Marietta, GA and her children Brandy Gleaves Kretz and husband, Dan, of Nashville, TN, and Blake Gleaves of Marietta, GA; soneeffrey C. Park and wife, Regina, and their sons Joe and Daniel Riddle of Albany, GA; son James M. Green and wife, Laura, and their children, Ashley and Connor of Lilburn, GA; and daughter Jami Green Jones and her son, Cameron of Albany, GA; and sisters-in law, Freda Best Maley and Marilyn McNamara Maley of Memphis, TN. The family is grateful to the doctors at UNC for their care. And special thanks goes to her caregivers, Nellie Bullock and Patricia Miller, for their care and devotion to Mary Jean and her family. A funeral Mass will be offered 1:30 PM Saturday from Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4465 Northside Dr. Atlanta, GA 30327. Friends received at church Saturday from Noon until service time. Memorial contributions to the Humane Society humanesociety.org or to Holy Spirit Church.
