Miss Ruby Ann Payne

Miss Ruby Ann Payne, 99, peacefully passed away at home in Pittsboro Christian Village, Saturday morning July 25, 2015. She was born in Bladen County, NC on March 6, 1916, daughter to the late William Haywood Payne and Bessie Hinshaw Payne. Formerly of Greensboro, NC, Miss Payne was a long time member of Shannon Hills Chapel before moving to Pittsboro Christian Village to reside in 1990. In addition to her parents, Miss Payne is preceded ineeath by three brothers, Maurice, Frank and J.D. Payne; and her sister, Freda Willke. She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held 9:30am, Tuesday July 28, 2015 in the receiving parlor of Pittsboro Christian Village. The funeral service will follow at 10:30am in the chapel with the Rev. Gerald Baker, Jr. and Rev. Mark Shelley officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
