Rufus Darrell Huff

Rufus Darrell Huff, 61, of Oxford, NC died Sunday, November 25, 2018. He was born in Granville County on August 27, 1957, son of the late Rufus Huff and the late Frances Lunsford Huff. Darrell was a lifelong farmer who knew no better life than his traditional vocation. He enjoyed most the company of his friends and family, the freedom and beauty of nature, and the roaring engines of NASCAR racing. Darrell is survived by his wife, Linda Huff; son, Dalton Huff (Tracie); sister, Wanda Haskins (Rick); nephew, David Haskins (Lauren); and niece, Lori Polichnowski (Charlie). Darrell is predeceased by his brother, Michael Huff; and his sister, Barbara Bumpass. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:00 am from Corinth Baptist Church, 3658 NC-96, Oxford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive guests for visitation on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm at Gentry-Newell - Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College St., Oxford and also receiving guests at their home.
