Ruth Temple Mayer

Mrs. Ruth Temple Mayer, 96, of Pittsboro Christian Village, died December 7, 2011 at Pittsboro Christian Village. Born July 8, 1915 in Plaineeld, NJ, she was a daughter of Walter and Caroline Grant Temple. She was a graduate of Sharon High School in Charlotte, NC. A homemaker, Mrs. Mayer resided in St. Albans, VT, prior to moving to North Carolina. Survivors include two sons, Albert Evan Mayer of St. Albans, VT, John Arthur Mayer of Seal Beach, CA; two daughters, Jenny Kosin of Darlington, SC, and Lois Dunkerton of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Grace Perrin of Pittsboro; a brother, Paul Temple of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Her husband, Arthur E. Mayer, preceded her ineeath. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 9, 2011 at Pittsboro Christian Village. A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, December 20, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery ineestfield, NJ.
