Sam Edward Parrott, Jr.

OXFORD: Sam Edward Parrott, Jr. died Jan. 24, 2012 at Brantwood Nursing Center. He is a native of Granville County and the son of the late Sam Edward Parrot, Sr. and Martha Jewel Harris. Sam was a member of Delrayno Baptist Church and was a retired auto salesman, having worked for Medford Motors and Boyd Chevrolet for 40 years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel by Rev. D. L. Page and Jeff Gregg. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Surviving is his wife, Jeaneelcher Parrott of Oxford; a daughter, Valinda Parrott Dickerson Bruce of Oxford; sister, Elizabeth Barker of Oxford; grandchildren, Brian Dickerson Cristalle and Laura Jean Dickerson; a great grandchild, Isabella. He was preceded ineeath by a sister, Lottie Mae Wilbourne. Flowers are accepted or memorial may be made to the Delrayno Baptist Church Bus Fund, 108 Rayland Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
