SAM R. PERRY Franklinton - Sam R. Perry age 61 died Friday, February 20, 2009 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Granville Co, he was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill Surgical Assistant Program, an employee with Dr. David Noel and Trianee Orthopedic Associates PA, and a member of Brassfield Voluneer Fire Department, serving as treasurer, a former member of the board of trustees of Granville Medical Center. He was also a member of Popes Chapel Uneed Church of Christ, serving as treasurer. Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2009 from Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Donald W Ward. Surviving are his wife Marcia Gaye Perry, his son, Jeremy Gray Perry of Raleigh, his brother, Kenneth Perry of Virginia Beach, VA, his sister, Joan Bass of Franklinton. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother and a son, Marcus Kyle Perry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sam Perry Scholarship Fund, Granville Medical Center, 1010 College Street Oxford, NC 27565 or to the neeye Bank, 3900 Westpoint Blvd, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
