Sarah Weeks Pelletier passed away peacefully at Croasdaile Village in Durham, NC on the morning of Monday, March 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 9 in the Few Chapel located in Croasdaile Village. Sarah was the fourth daughter born to George Ethelbert (Bert) Weeks and Lovie Sigmoneeeks on neember 3, 1925. She graduated from the Women???s College of the Uneersity of North Carolina in Greensboro. Upon graduation, Sarah worked in Washington, DC, Raleigh, and at Camp Lejeune before marrying George Starling Pelletier in July, 1956. An accomplished and classically trained pianist, Sarah competed in neerous piano competitions as a young girl, and maintained her passion for music throughout her life. She was a long time member of the Greeneeaf Garden Club in Maysville and attained her certification as a Master Flower Show Judge. A life-long and active member of the Maysville Uneed Methodist Church, she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, served as a member of the Uneed Methodist Women, and on neerous church committees. Sarah is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, George Starling Pelletier of Durham, NC, her daughters: Anneelletier Lane (Scott) of Arlington, VA and Sarah (Sally) Sabistoneelletier of Baltimore, MD; and her grandchildren: Mary (Mollie) Morrow Lane, Emma Hughes Lane, and William Griffith Lane. She was preceded ineeath by her sisters, Margaret Weeks Hammond of Gainesville, FL, Christine Weeks Underwood of Greensboro, NC, aneeleanor Weeks Gaver of Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Croasdaile Village Benevolent Fund, 2600 Croasdaile Farm Parkway, Durham, NC 27705.
