Virginia Dare Preddy, 89, of Kittrell, NC died Friday, October 9, 2020. She was born in Granville county on September 3, 1931 to her now predeceased parents, John Peyton Howell and Mary Elizabeth Moss Howell.
Virginia had a love of music and was a gifted musician and vocalist. She loved nature, enjoyed its beauty, and the joy it provided.
Mrs. Preddy is survived by her daughter, Carol P. Smith (Charles); son, John W. Preddy (Donna); 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Nell H. Hart; and many other loving extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, previously named; husband, Paul Loften Preddy; and son, Paul Jeffrey Preddy.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church, 4044 Fairport Rd, Kittrell, NC.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home. Masks and social distancing will be required at all times.
