Alice Everidge Efrid

Mrs Alice Everidge Efird, 85, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. A native of Forsyth County, NC, she was born May 26, 1928 to the late Paul and Alma Everidge. She trained and worked as a Registered Nurse in Winston Salem, NC, including the old "City Hospital", which is now Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Alice married R. Lester Efird on April 7, 1951. She loved gardening, cooking and was active ineer church. She was preceded ineeath by her husband and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Tineefird; a brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Efird will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Pittsboro UMC with the Rev. Ben Alexander officiating. Burial in the church cemetery will follow the service. A visitation will be held at 2:00pm in the church. The arrangements for Mrs. Efird are under the care of Hall Wynne Funeral Service Griffin Chapel of Pittsboro.
