Alice Grey Currin

Oxford Alice Grey Currin died Monday, October 26, 2015. A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Hayes and Mary Geneva Cole Currin. She was a long time City Commissioner, a member of the Planning Board, and a former employee of the federal government for many years. She was a lifelong advocate for those with special needs. Surviving are her brothers, Harold A. Currin (Betty) and Donald H. Currin both of Oxford; 4 nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Troy Lee Moore. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October, 30th 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Gentry neell and Vaughan Funeral Chapel. The family will receive guests??? from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. The family is under the care of Gentry neell and Vaughan Funeral Home of Oxford.
