Alma Taylor McDade, 89, died Thursday in Durham Regional Hospital following a brief illness. An Orange County native, she was a Durham resident all her adult life. Mrs. McDade followed the tobacco market, working as a bookkeeper in various warehouses across the southeast. She kept books for many years at Erwin Oil Co.
