Cornell Davis Brown

Cornell Davis Brown died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Plano Medical Center, Plano TX. She was a North Carolina native and Durham resident for over 70 years. Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Ralph P. Davis and Hoye O'Neal Davis. She was a charter member of Park View Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown is survived by her sister Bernee Davis Ward of West Palm Beach, FL; her brother Ronald R. Davis and wife, Jean, of Blue Ridge, TX; her brother in law, Charles E. Brown and wife, Peggy, of Durham, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, W. Harold Brown; sister Virginia Davis James; brother James Rudolph Davis and his wife Helen Catlett Davis. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2011. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St., Durham. The Reverends Ernest H. Ferrell and Susan Rogers will co-officiate. Burial will be private. All are invited, following the service, to attend a light reception that will be held immediately following the service at 3:00 PM, from Park View Baptist Church, 2500 Acadia St., Durham.
