Darrin Watts Ramsey

Darrin Watts Ramsey, born on September 1, 1986, in Granville County, North Carolina, departed this life unexpectedly on December 7, 2025, in Durham County, North Carolina. Darrin was a son, a father, a brother, and a friend to many.

In his professional life, Darrin exhibited a profound dedication to his work as a diesel mechanic and an electrician. His technical skills were honed with a degree from Nashville Auto-Diesel College, where he found his passion for working with machinery and electricity. Darrin's career was a testament to his hardworking nature and mechanical expertise. 

Throughout his life, he was known for his vibrant personality and an ability to connect with others; he never met a stranger. Darrin loved to joke and laugh, bringing joy to those around him. His warmth extended beyond his immediate family, as he cultivated friendships spanning different walks of life. He found pleasure in simple joys, such as hunting, and valued the great outdoors.

Darrin is survived by his son, Aiden Ramsey, his brother, Josh Ramsey, and a large extended family and friends too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry "PeeWee" Ramsey, and his mother, Elaine King Morgan and stepfather, Ronnie Morgan.

A visitation will be held in his honor on December 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford, North Carolina. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Triple Creek Farms Family Cemetery in Oxford, North Carolina, starting at 2:30 PM.

Darrin’s spirit and laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, reminding them of the joy he brought into their lives.
