It is with profound sorrow yet heartfelt gratitude that we announce the peaceful passing of Diana Jean Morgan on March 28, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on August 20, 1945, Diana graced this world with a life that radiated creativity, warmth, and unwavering love for all who were fortunate to know her.

A gifted pianist, Diana’s music was a source of comfort and joy, touching the hearts of many with each delicate note she played. Her talents extended beyond the piano; as an accomplished seamstress, she wove not only threads but also enduring expressions of care and devotion through her handcrafted creations.

Diana found her greatest happiness in the company of family and friends, where laughter and shared meals fostered cherished memories. Her tender affection for animals and her profound appreciation for nature’s simple wonders brought her special delight, particularly in the annual return of hummingbirds—tiny, vibrant visitors who became emblematic of the beauty and grace she treasured.

She leaves behind a loving legacy in her sons, Derek Morgan (Laura) and David Morgan (Felicia); her brother, John T. Sigmon (Linda);  her five beloved grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Ashley, Ella, and Daniel and her darling great grandson, Jimmy .

Diana Jean Morgan will be remembered for her gentle spirit and generous heart, along with the quiet, meaningful ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Her enduring legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.

A graveside service to honor her memory will be held at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 2298 Enon Road, Oxford, NC 27567, on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM. All who knew Diana are invited to join in paying tribute to her beautiful life.  In lieu of flowers, please support the Alzheimer's Association (link below).
