Donald Winston Wright

Donald Winston Wright, 84, died Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was born July 31, 1929 to John Thomas Wright Sr. and Vallie Evans Wright, he was a life resident of Franklin County, Mr. Wright owned and operated his own farm in Franklinton for many years. He was a member of Franklin Lodge #123, the York Rite, Franklin County Shrine Club and Sudaneemple ineenderson. Donald was a charter member of Mitchiner's Crossroads Voluneer Fire Department and the Lions Club. Mr. Wright attended Union View Baptist Church in Franklinton. Surviving are: his companion of 39 years, and fianeeacute;, Elaine Smith of Franklinton; a brother, Joseph Earl Wright and his wife, Leah of Franklintoneelaine's daughter, Nancy Satterwhite of Franklinton; best and longtime friend, Durwood Davis; grandchildren, by love, not by blood; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton. Rev. Clyde Waiden will preside. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to charity.
