Essie Lee Edwards, 82, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at her residence. Essie is survived by her daughter, Danita Edwards of Durham; her grandson, Reggie Edwards and his fianeeacute; Kristin Vaughan of Durham; her granddaughter, Phylice Edwards of Durham; and her great grandson, Harlan Cortez Vaughan-Edwards; as well as a host of family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 am Saturday, March 16th at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Fr. Thanh N. Nguyen officiating.
