Francis Dennis Patton

Nov 25, 1957 — Jul 22, 2026

Louisburg, NC

Francis Dennis Patton, 68, passed away peacefully with his wife and best friend, Sandy by his side on July 22, 2026.

Born on November 25, 1957 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Francis was the son of the late Francis Henry Patton, and Elizabeth Louise Patton.

He lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, friendship, and an appreciation for life's simple joys.

He was very good at his favorite hobby, deer hunting. He also loved camping, from tent to pop-up to renting cabins, He and his wife and best friend Sandy managed to stop at almost every zoo from Pennsylvania to Louisville.

Every winter he and his family and friends would be sledding down the hills, on their toboggans' in Butler, PA.

Early on in their marriage, both he and Sandy restored a Dodge Dart Sport from the ground up. It was truly a labor of love.

Back in the day, on Friday nights, you were sure to find them at Lernerville Speedway watching either Sprint Cars, Super Late Models, Big Block Modified or the "World of Outlaws" series, running around that famous 1/4 Mile Dirt Track.

In his later days, Denny gave Pickle Ball a try, although not very good, he had a great time trying. His favorite show to watch was Jeopardy, every single afternoon.

Francis is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Sandy, his son Dennis Levi Patton and partner, Jessica  and his sisters Lori, Lynn (Dave) and Donna (Jim). He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
