George Edward Vick

George E. Vick, Jr., a resident of Durham, died Friday, August 21, 2009. Mr. Vick served in the U. S. Army during WWII, and was a foreman at Liggett-Myers for many years in his career. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 687 in Durham. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy D. Lloyd Vick; one brother, Robert L. Vick of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren and neerous great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening, Aug. 23rd from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main St. Durham. Funeral Services will be held Monday, Aug. 24th at 2 pm from St. Paul Uneed Methodist Church at 2700 N. Roxboro St., Durham. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, Creedmoor.
