Janet Sorrell Vaughan

DURHAM-Janet Sorrell Vaughan, age 77, of Durham passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital. A native of Durham she was the daughter of the late Worth and Lillian Williams Sorrell. Janet had worked for a period of time for Liggett Myers and for the Durham County Public School System, but spent most of her life as a loving homemaker to her husband and children. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Janet is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Vaughan McGee and husband, Terry; son, Randy Vaughan and wife, Lynn; her brother, Bertice Sorrell and wife, Nancy; her grandchildren, Lance McGee and Jeremy Wright, all of Durham. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Vaughan. Friends may visit from 6:00 ??? 8:00pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Maplewood Cemetery, Section 13 with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
