Jean Marion Vanbenthuysen

Miss Jean Marion Vanbenthuysen, 105, of Pittsboro Christian Village, died January 23, 2010 at Pittsboro Christian Village. Born ineewark, New Jersey on May 13, 1904, she was the daughter of Robert Seaward and Jenny Smith Vanbenthuysen. Miss Vanbenthuysen was a retired insurance clerk. At the time of her death, she was the oldest resident at Pittsboro Christian Village, and one of, if not the oldest, residents in Chatham County and North Carolina. She is survived by a niece, Terry Baker, of Wendell. Graveside rites will be conducted by Mr. Gerald Baker at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City.
