Jesse Camp Thomas

Mr. Jesse Camp "Poncho" Thomas, 71, died September 21, 2010 at The Laurels of Chatham. Mr. Thomas was born neember 26, 1938 in Chatham County, the son of Alton Harrison Thomas and Mandy Tipton Thomas. Mr. Thomas retired from Webster Poultry, and was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church in Moncure. His daily rounds included breakfast at Al's, lunch at the Senior Center, a stop by Performance Auto to visit, aneelizabeth's for dinner. Mr. Thomas is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and couneess friends. He was predeceased by his parents and also by 8 brothers and sisters. The funeral service for Mr. Thomas will be conducted by the Rev. Leonard Nix at 4:00 pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 from the graveside at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
