OXFORD: Joyce Wade Boyd, age 76, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at her home. A native of Vance County, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Paul Franklin Wade and Gertrude Tucker Wade Hicks Mrs. Boyd was preceded indeath by her husband, Jack G. Boyd and 2 daughters; Sherry B. Brown; and Joanne Boyd. Surviving are 2 sons; Michael Boyd , Jacksonville, FL, John G. Boyd, Oxford, NC; 2 Daughters; Trudy B. Williamson, Oxford, NC, Wendy B. Wilkins, Henderson, NC; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jean W. Burwell of Oxford, Martha W. Abbott, Middleburg, NC, Wanda H. Donovan, Nashville, NC. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January, 1, 2011 by The Rev. Ricky Easter at Hester Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 3064 Cannady Mill Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
