DURHAM: Kathleen Pat Patterson Cowan, 91, passed away Friday, March 5, after an extended period of declining health. She was born June 12, 1918 in Stony Point, NC to Marvin L. and Janie Mae Alexander Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded ineeath by her sister, Alma Kirkman; two brothers, Lynford L. Patterson and Ronald A. Patterson; and her beloved husband, Thomas G. Cowan. She and Tom were married May 21, 1941 aneenjoyed over fifty-two years together before his death in 1994. Tom
