Keith Taylor Morton

Keith Taylor Morton, 70 year-old of Oxford North Carolina passed away on February 15, 2026 at Duke Hospital from complications of esophageal cancer.

Keith was born on May 31, 1955 to Virginia Champion and James Taylor Morton of Oxford North Carolina.

Keith is survived by his fiancé Mary Wells. He has also survived by his aunts and uncles; Linda Fox, Jaxie Smith, Roy Cleveland Morton, Larry, Champion, Steve and Denise Champion and Faye Jones along with his dedicated furry friend, Eddie.

Keith worked many jobs during his life from Morton’s Nursery, Florist and Landscaping, to law-enforcement with the police department to the North Carolina Department of Corrections and to East Coast Drilling and Blasting where he operated heavy equipment.

Keith loved cars; especially fast cars, NASCAR and his parents, always sacrificing to make their lives easier
