Kelly Martin Saunders

Kelly Martin Saunders (Marty) 65, of Oxford North Carolina, passed away May 15,2025, at Brantwood Nursing & Rehab Center. Born August 22,1959 at Granville Medical Center Marty was a graduate of J F Webb high school and attended Vance Granville Community College and Elon College. Marty was the third child of June and Grover Saunders of Oxford NC and was preceded by them in death.

Marty was a long time employee of Perry Brothers, Revlon, Granville County Schools, and recently Boyd Chevrolet. He was a member of the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department over 20 years. 

Marty is survived by his brothers Mike Saunders (Mary Helen) of Jackson TN., and Leslie Saunders (Sue) of Cary NC, and his nephews Michael Saunders (Amy) of Huntsville Alabama, and Ben Saunders (Anna) of Charlotte NC, and Matt Hartley of Charlotte NC, and his niece Elizabeth Hartley of Raleigh NC. 

Marty enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was involved with working on race cars, attending races, and he enjoyed time spent at Kerr Lake.

The family would like to give thanks to Brantwood Nursing & Rehab as well as the Amedisys Hospice Services for their excellent care and support.

Friends and family are invited to Gentry- Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home 503 College Street Oxford NC on Monday May 19,2025 for visitation at 1 pm and the funeral at 2 pm. Marty will be buried at Meadowview Memorial Park Oxford NC along side of his parents.
