Margaret Hancock Adcock journeyed to eternal rest on January 22, 2026. Born inVirginia on March 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Guinevere Hancock. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin W. Adcock, a son, Stanley Adcock, as well as two sisters and three brothers.
Margaret retired after working 17 years with the Granville County School system. She spent much of her retired years traveling with her daughters and close friends. She found joy in cooking, gardening, music, and singing in the Mt. Zion Church choir.
She is survived by her daughters Janet A. Bryson (John), Joanne A. Larimer, her nephews Randy Hancock (Cynthia), William Wheeler, Jr (Frances), great nephew Ronald Adcock (Traci), great niece Lisa Buie (Bart), and Buddy, her grand-cat, who brought her great joy.
A visitation will be held on January 29, 2026 from 1 to 2 pm in the fellowship hall at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm officiated by Pastor William Wheeler, Jr. Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service.
Flowers are welcomed and memorial donations may be made in her name to Mt Zion Baptist Church.
