Maria C. Lindsay

Durham, NC - Maria (Mary) C. Lindsay nee Smargiassi, 87, passed away at home in Durham, NC on May 6, 2017. Prior to moving to NC in 2004, she was a lifelong resident of NJ, having been born in Camden and lived many years in Barnsboro, NJ. She was active in the Mantua Township Lions Auxiliary and a voluneer librarian at the Mantua Township Schools. She is survived by her sons, John, of the home, David, and his wife, Linda of Durham, NC; grandson, Jefferson; and her constant companion, Cookie, her dog. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, the Honorable John J. Lindsay, and her brother, John Smarge. Services and interment were private.
