Mary Compton Johnson

Mary Compton Johnson, age 88, died peacefully Friday morning, May 22, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born ineebane, NC to the late James W. and Nellie Stuart Compton on June 10, 1920. Mrs. Johnson was a long-time member of Northgate Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack Johnson; her daughter, Joan J. Hutchins; her son, David Wayne Johnson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 28, 2009 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Entombment will follow in Woodlawneemorial Park. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
