Mary Bullock Jacobs

With profound sadness, we honor the life of our beloved Mary Bullock Jacobs, who departed this world on September 26, 2026, at age 98, at Duke Hospice (Hock Pavilion) in Durham.

Mary was preceded in rest by her husband, Clyde Jackson Jacobs; her devoted parents, Bessie Overton Bullock and Johnnie Allen Bullock; and her dear sister, Hallie Bullock Duke-Travis.

She leaves a legacy of love through her children: Camilla Schubart (Chuck), Juanita Grissom (Gary), Cheryl Garland (Brett), and Everette Jacobs (Amy). Her spirit endures in the hearts of her grandchildren: Greg Watts (Monica), Renee Stancil, Kim Grissom, Scott Grissom, Jenna Schubart, Tyler House, and Cameron House; her great-grandchildren: Alexis Moseley, Ashley Williamson, Camryn Stancil, Taylor Stancil, Roen House, Jude House, and Jacob Smith; and her great-great-grandchild, Rheya Williamson. Mary's extended family and countless friends will forever cherish her memory.

Her greatest joy was the warmth of family gatherings, especially those cherished visits filled with reminiscence and laughter over treasured family photos.

Mary's enduring strength and love have been a guiding light to all who knew her. She now joins the many loved ones who went before her in eternal peace.

In her memory, flowers are welcomed, or donations may be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church. We will share details of her memorial service in due course.

Rest in love and peace, dear mama, until we meet again.
