Mary Keeling

In loving memory of Mary Keeling, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, we gather to celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on all who knew her.

 Born to be a nurturing spirit, Mary was the proud mother of four children: Susan, William, Sharon, and her late son Rodney, who remains in our hearts. Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Micheal, Megan, Jessica, and Brittany, who brought her endless joy, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Adalynn, and Peanut, who were the light of her life.

Mary has joined her parents, Spot and Juanita Burwell in eternal rest. She also shared a special bond with her sister, Zelma Faye, who has also passed, but their memories and love for one another endure. For many years, Mary found companionship and support with Jerry Cooke, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges.

A hardworking woman, Mary poured her heart into everything she did. She fiercely loved her family and friends, cultivating relationships that nourished her soul. Her passions included her beloved wrestling and NASCAR racing, as well as tending to her yard, which flourished under her care. 

Services for Mary Keeling and her family will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm.  

We would like to express our gratitude to Medi Hospice, especially Latoya, who provided compassionate care during her time of need. Mary Keeling leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. She will be missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
