Mildred Morris Dean

Oxford: Mildred Morris Dean, 87, of Oxford, NC, died on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late Roy D. and Bettie Sherman Jones. Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children F. Howard "Pluter Morris. She is survived by her husband Alfred B. "Rat Dean; one son Roger (Gina) Morris of Oxford; and two daughters Martha Barbour of Oxford and Bettie Lou (Paul Jr.) Boyd of Rougemont. Six grandchildren Ryan (Jessica) Barbour, Jessica (Eddie) Morris, Jonathan (Samantha) Morris, Joshua (Jennifer) Boyd, Lydia (Matt) Stevens, and Alan (Kelli) Boyd. There are nine great-grandchildren; Remington, Olivia, Autumn, Lukas, Ella Jo, Bentley, Jack, Zoe, and Violet. A memorial service will be held at Hester Baptist Church on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Services will be conducted by Dr. Jeff Hensleyand Dr. Randy Bridges. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hester Baptist Church P. O. Box 964 Oxford, NC 27565.
